The water in Lake Michigan including East Bay is up but it is not yet high. Last fall’s storm surges have led folks to believe that Great Lakes levels are at or close to their records highs. It’s not true. High precipitation raised water levels. We have seen storm surges erode the shoreline. Experts are reviewing what’s really going on and what is needed to mitigate the range of water between lower and higher levels.
