Whitefish, a key species in culture - ecology – commerce once totaled 100 million now collapsed. Cause is under-feeding in the lakes. Baby Whitefish are literally starving. Invasive Quagga mussels ate their food. Invasive gobies eat mussels. Per the film, lake whitefish starved and stream whitefish lost to logging. Nursery fish eggs are now stocked. Few whitefish have returned to streams on their own - a mystery.
